Since the building was originally a Catholic hospital built in 1902, the renovation included restoring the stained-glass windows, making the chapel into a community center and turning the choir loft into a library/computer center. Residents also enjoy a variety of services such as transportation, recreational programs and educational opportunities.

All residents of Sacred Heart Apartments have access to an existing garden area with grotto, attractive landscaping and numerous sitting areas. Additionally, the hospitals former chapel with be utilized as a community room for use by all residents. The stained glass windows were saved and restored; adding to the beauty of the community room.
